Pause to Focus is published by DittoCode. The extension does not collect, upload, sell, or share browsing data and contains no advertising, remote analytics, or telemetry.
Pause to Focus processes the current page URL locally in your browser to determine whether it matches a blocking rule. It does not send that URL to DittoCode or another server.
The extension may store the following information in the current browser:
User-written reasons may contain sensitive information. They remain local unless the user independently chooses to include them in a support email.
Statistics are kept locally in the browser indefinitely by default. Users can choose another retention period, export local data as JSON or CSV, or clear statistics from Settings.
Uninstalling the extension normally removes extension storage according to Chrome's behavior. Data exported by the user is controlled by the user after export.
During an upgrade, legacy rules may be merged, deduplicated, and converted locally. Recognized built-in reasons may be converted to stable identifiers so they can be displayed in the selected language. User-written text is preserved. Migration data is not uploaded.
