English FAQ

How do I block a website?

Open Pause to Focus, choose Open settings, and select Add site. Enter a domain such as example.com. A website address is required; the label and blocking reason are optional.

Why does the 10-second countdown reset?

The pause counts only while the blocking page is visible and the browser window has focus. Switching tabs, windows, or apps resets the countdown. This is intentional.

Why must I wait before disabling or deleting a rule?

Changes that reduce protection require a 30-second cooldown. Adding, enabling, or expanding protection takes effect immediately.

How does temporary access work?

After the focused pause, choose a reason and an access duration from 1 to 120 minutes. Only the matching website is unlocked. A local indicator shows the remaining time on that site.

What happens when I pause all blocking?

Global pause temporarily stops protection until the selected resume time. Your site list and schedule are preserved and resume automatically.

Why is a regional website already in my list but paused?

On a new installation, Pause to Focus enables common distracting websites and may add language-relevant regional suggestions in a paused state. You decide whether to enable them. Changing the interface language later does not add, remove, or reactivate rules.

Where is my data stored?

Rules, reasons, temporary access information, and statistics stay in the current browser. Pause to Focus has no account, advertising, remote analytics, or telemetry.

How do I export or delete statistics?

Open Settings → Data & privacy. You can export JSON or CSV, choose a retention period, or clear all statistics. Clearing statistics does not delete blocking rules.
